John W. Sensenbrenner, MD
Dr. Sensenbrenner grew up in the Weddington-Waxhaw area and has been practicing medicine in Charlotte since 1987. He is a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, N.C. and East Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Sensenbrenner states, “I was called by God into the ministry of healing at the age of 15. I have followed that calling and give my best every day to be a blessing and servant to my patients.” Dr. Sensenbrenner lives in Marvin, N.C. three miles from where he grew up. He and his wife, Kim, have been married since 1984 and have 2 children, Adam and Eric.
Tonya M. Fraser, PA-C
Tonya is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She has been practicing since 2000 and joined Sensenbrenner Primary Care in 2007. Tonya is especially interested in preventive health issues such as hypertension, diabetes and women’s health issues.
Tyler J. Hyslep, PA-C
Originally from Massachusetts, Tyler moved to Wilmington, North Carolina to attend UNCW where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2010. After graduating, he worked at a group home for individuals with Autism. For PA school he attended Wingate University and graduated in 2014. Tyler looks forward to giving excellent care to the individuals of the Charlotte area.
Zack grew up in West Virginia and is a 3rd generation Primary Care physician. His grandfather, father and several of his uncles are also physicians. He did his undergraduate training at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and then went on to the Nova Southeastern University School of Osteopathic Medicine. His internship and residency were completed at Broward General Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A board certified physician in family practice and osteopathic medicine, Dr. Wood has been practicing for 11 years, since 2008. He evaluates and treats patients with diverse needs, including full service family practice ages 13 and above and osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and well as The American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners. Dr. Wood incorporates a very holistic approach encompassing mind, body and spirit and aims at healing patients the natural way if possible without the need for pharmaceuticals.
